L has units ohm·second, C has units second/ohm, so L/(CR) reduces to ohm.

Work out each unit:

  • Inductance: the emf relation ε = L di/dt gives L = ε/(di/dt) = volt/(ampere/second) = (volt/ampere)·second = ohm·second. So [L] = Ω·s.
  • Capacitance: Q = CV gives C = Q/V = (ampere·second)/volt = second/(volt/ampere) = second/ohm. So [C] = s/Ω.
  • Resistance: [R] = ohm = Ω.

Now substitute into L/(CR):
