emf = −dφ/dt; at t = 2 s the induced emf is 18 V (magnitude).

By Faraday's law the induced emf is the negative rate of change of flux:

ε = −dφ/dt.

Given φ = 4t³ − 5t² − 10t + 70 weber,

dφ/dt = 12t² − 10t − 10.

So ε = −(12t² − 10t − 10).

At t = 2 s:

dφ/dt = 12(4) − 10(2) − 10 = 48 − 20 − 10 = 18 Wb/s.

ε = −18 V.
