Profit or Loss on Realisation Account is transferred to the Partners' Capital Accounts, in the profit-sharing ratio.

On dissolution of a partnership firm, a Realisation Account is opened to record the disposal of all assets (other than cash/bank and any asset specifically agreed to be taken over by a partner) and the discharge of all outside liabilities. All assets transferred to this account are debited, and all liabilities taken over are credited; the sale proceeds of assets are credited and payments to discharge liabilities (including realisation expenses) are debited.
