Sacrificing Ratio = Old Ratio − New Ratio.

The sacrificing ratio measures the proportion in which the old partners give up (sacrifice) their share of profit in favour of the incoming partner. It is computed as: Sacrificing Ratio = Old Share − New Share for each old partner. It is used to distribute the goodwill premium brought in by the new partner.
