Humoral immunity is the antibody-mediated response, effective mainly against pathogens and toxins circulating freely in body fluids. An antigen-presenting cell (APC) processes and displays the antigen, activating a matching helper T-cell (TH cell). This helper T-cell in turn helps activate a B-cell that has independently bound the same antigen.
