The only even prime is 22, so we need both dice to show 22; by independence that probability is 16×16=136\tfrac16\times\tfrac16=\tfrac{1}{36} — option (D).

Identify the favourable value

A prime number has exactly two factors. The only even prime is 22 (every other even number is divisible by 22, so it is not prime). So 'even prime on a die' means the die shows a 22 — a single value, not {2,4,6}\{2,4,6\}.
