Q.Define E-Business.
E-business, or electronic business, refers to the conduct of business activities with the help of information and communication technology. It is a wide term covering not only the buying and selling of goods and services but every other activity a firm performs electronically, such as production planning, purchase of raw material, inventory management, internal communication, banking, and customer service.
Because it covers the whole chain of a firm's operations — both the customer-facing, front-end activities and the internal, back-end activities — e-business is broader than e-commerce, which deals only with buying, selling and the transfer of related funds. An AP BIEAP Class 11 Commerce student should remember e-business as the umbrella term under which e-commerce is one important, but not the only, activity.
E-business is the conduct of a firm's business activities — production, purchase, inventory management, marketing, finance, human resources and customer service alike — using computers, information technology and electronic networks such as the internet.
