Step 1 — Identify the two distinct capital-holding periods. From 1 April 2025 to 30 September 2025 (6 months), R's capital stood at ₹1,00,000. From 1 October 2025 to 31 March 2026 (6 months), after the additional ₹40,000 was introduced, R's capital stood at ₹1,40,000.
