Frog's ureters carry urine to cloaca; human kidney filters blood to make urine; earthworm's body wall aids excretion and respiration.

Functions of any two of the following:

A. Ureters of frog: In the frog a pair of ureters (Wolffian ducts) arise from the kidneys and open into the cloaca. They carry urine from the kidneys to the cloaca for removal. In the male frog the ureter also carries sperms (so it is a urinogenital duct), whereas in the female the ureter carries only urine.

B. Kidney of human: The kidneys are the main excretory organs. Each kidney contains about a million nephrons that filter the blood in the glomerulus, then reabsorb useful substances (glucose, salts, water) and secrete wastes in the tubules, finally forming urine (containing urea, excess salts and water). The kidney thus removes nitrogenous wastes and regulates the water, salt and pH balance (osmoregulation) of the body.
