Primary rainbow = one internal reflection, brighter, ~42°, red outside/violet inside. Secondary rainbow = two internal reflections, fainter, ~51°, colour order reversed (red inside/violet outside).

Both rainbows arise from refraction, dispersion and total/partial internal reflection of sunlight by spherical raindrops, but they differ in the number of internal reflections.
