Lok Sabha

The Lok Sabha, like every State Legislative Assembly, is directly elected by the people. For this purpose the entire country (or, for a State Assembly, the entire State) is divided into territorial constituencies of roughly equal population, and one representative is elected from each constituency through universal adult suffrage — meaning every adult citizen's vote carries the same value as every other's.
