Lewis Terman's long-term research on intellectually gifted children clarified the relationship between intelligence and creativity. His main findings were:
- High IQ does not guarantee creativity. Persons with very high IQ were not necessarily creative; a high score on an intelligence test did not automatically make a person a creative producer.
