Working Notes

  1. Money per share ₹16 (₹10 + ₹6): App & Allotment ₹8 (₹5 capital + ₹3 premium); Call ₹8 (₹5 capital + ₹3 premium).
  2. Money received on application & allotment = 1,60,000 × ₹8 = ₹12,80,000. Rejected 10,000 × ₹8 = ₹80,000. Valid 1,50,000 paid ₹12,00,000; due on 1,00,000 = ₹8,00,000; excess ₹4,00,000 refunded.
  3. Dheeraj: allotted 200, applied 200 × 3/2 = 300; paid ₹2,400; due ₹1,600; ₹800 refunded. Premium ₹600 received on app & allotment.
  4. Call default = 200 × ₹8 = ₹1,600 (capital ₹1,000 + premium ₹600). Call received = ₹8,00,000 − ₹1,600 = ₹7,98,400.
  5. Forfeiture: Share Capital ₹2,000; premium in the call (₹600) reversed; ₹1,600 call unpaid; ₹1,000 (capital received) to Share Forfeiture.
  6. Reissue 200 at ₹5 (fully paid ₹10): discount ₹1,000, debited to Share Forfeiture. Balance = ₹1,000 − ₹1,000 = nil → no Capital Reserve.
