Step 1 — Identify the sets. AA=UPI users, n(A)=90n(A)=90; BB=debit-card users, n(B)=70n(B)=70; CC=cash users, n(C)=60n(C)=60. Pairwise: n(A∩B)=30n(A\cap B)=30, n(B∩C)=25n(B\cap C)=25, n(A∩C)=20n(A\cap C)=20. Triple: n(A∩B∩C)=10n(A\cap B\cap C)=10. Total surveyed =200=200.

Step 2 — Apply the three-set inclusion-exclusion formula.

n(A∪B∪C)=n(A)+n(B)+n(C)−n(A∩B)−n(B∩C)−n(A∩C)+n(A∩B∩C)n(A\cup B\cup C) = n(A)+n(B)+n(C) - n(A\cap B) - n(B\cap C) - n(A\cap C) + n(A\cap B\cap C)

=90+70+60−30−25−20+10=155.= 90+70+60-30-25-20+10 = 155.

Step 3 — Find the "none" group. Shoppers using none of the three methods: 200−155=45200-155=45. …
