Static web page. A static page has fixed content written once in HTML and stored as a file. When requested, the server sends that file unchanged, so every visitor sees exactly the same page every time. It does not use a database or server program.

Example: a school's 'About Us' page — the same information for everyone.

Dynamic web page. A dynamic page is created at the moment it is requested. A server-side program builds the page, often pulling data from a database (using JDBC, as seen earlier), so the content can change — with the user who is logged in, the current date, or the latest data.

Example: after you log in, a page showing your own marks — built specially for you from database records; a different student sees different marks.
