Macro economics studies the whole economy's aggregates; total utility is overall satisfaction from consumption; an indifference curve plots equally-satisfying combinations of two goods.

Macro economics:

The branch of economics that studies the economy as a WHOLE, in terms of its aggregate variables — national income, aggregate demand and supply, general price level, total employment, and the balance of payments — rather than the behaviour of a single consumer or firm (which is the subject matter of microeconomics).

Total utility (TU):

The TOTAL satisfaction or want-satisfying power a consumer derives from consuming a GIVEN QUANTITY of a commodity, over a given period. It is the sum of the marginal utilities of each successive unit consumed — e.g., the total satisfaction from eating 4 units of a good is the sum of the utility from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th unit.
