Micro economics studies individual economic units; marginal utility is the satisfaction from one extra unit; an indifference map is a family of indifference curves at different utility levels.

Micro economics:

The branch of economics that studies the economic behaviour of INDIVIDUAL units in the economy — a single consumer, a single firm, or a single industry/market — and how prices of individual goods and factors of production are determined, as opposed to the economy-wide aggregates studied in macroeconomics.
