Domestic income = Compensation of employees + Operating surplus + Mixed income; National income = Domestic income + NFIA.

Given (₹ crore): Wages 1000, Rent 500, Interest 40, Dividend 300, Mixed Income 40, Undistributed Profits 20, Employers' contribution to social security 40, Corporate profit tax 40, Net factor income from abroad 100.

Step 1 — Compensation of Employees = Wages + Employers' contribution to social security = 1000 + 40 = 1040.

Step 2 — Profit = Dividend + Undistributed profits + Corporate profit tax = 300 + 20 + 40 = 360.

Step 3 — Operating Surplus = Rent + Interest + Profit = 500 + 40 + 360 = 900.

Step 4 — Mixed Income of the self-employed = 40.
