The primary aim of the Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) programme is to help infertile couples conceive a child by using medical techniques that handle sperm, eggs, or embryos outside the body.

The Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) programme is a set of advanced medical procedures designed to address infertility — the inability to conceive after a year of regular, unprotected intercourse. Infertility can arise from issues in either partner, such as blocked fallopian tubes, low sperm count, or hormonal imbalances. Other methods like Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) place sperm directly into the uterus, while Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) injects a single sperm into an egg. All these share the same fundamental goal: to achieve a successful pregnancy where natural conception has failed.
