Two objects meet at the instant their x-t graphs intersect — reading the given graph, that is at t = 3 s.

On a position(x)–time(t) graph, each object's position at any instant is given by the height of its own line at that time. Two moving objects are at the SAME place at the SAME time exactly when their two x-t lines cross — that crossing point is the only instant their positions coincide.
