MRPL = extra revenue from one more unit of labour = MPP of labour × MR (or price).

The marginal revenue product of labour (MRPL) is the addition to the firm's total revenue resulting from the employment of one additional unit of labour. It is obtained by multiplying the marginal physical product (MPP) of labour by the marginal revenue (MR) earned per unit of output (which equals the price under perfect competition):
