Q.Explain the classification of Internal Trade.
Internal Trade (Home Trade) is buying and selling of goods conducted entirely within the boundaries of one country. It is classified into two sub-types:
-
Wholesale Trade — buying goods in bulk from producers/manufacturers and selling them in comparatively smaller quantities to retailers or other traders, not directly to the final consumer.
-
Retail Trade — buying goods (usually from wholesalers) and selling them in small quantities directly to the final individual consumer, for personal use.
Together, these two sub-types form the complete chain by which goods move from a domestic producer, through the wholesaler, through the retailer, and finally to the household or individual consumer — all within the same country's borders.
Internal Trade is classified into Wholesale Trade (bulk sale to retailers) and Retail Trade (small-quantity sale to the final consumer).
