Anaphase II

In anaphase-II, the chromatids that have just separated from each other are now counted as independent daughter chromosomes, and they move toward opposite poles as the spindle fibres attached to their centromeres contract and shorten, pulling them apart — this is essentially the same chromatid-splitting event seen in mitotic anaphase, but it is now happening inside cells that are already haploid.
