Agree — beyond a certain wage the worker chooses leisure over extra income, so the labour supply curve bends backward.

Normally the law of supply says a higher price (wage) brings a larger supply. But the supply of labour is a well-known exception, and its curve is backward bending.

Why it bends backward (reasons):

  1. Income and Leisure Trade-off — At low wages, a worker offers more hours as the wage rises because he needs the income. So up to a point the labour-supply curve slopes upward normally.
