Feasible region. The line x+y=4x+y=4 (solid, since ≤\le) has intercepts (4,0)(4,0) and (0,4)(0,4); the origin test 0≤40\le4 is true, so the feasible region is the triangle bounded by the two axes and this line — a bounded region with corners (0,0),(4,0),(0,4)(0,0),(4,0),(0,4).

Evaluate Z=3x+4yZ=3x+4y:

CornerZ=3x+4yZ=3x+4y
(0,0)(0,0)00
(4,0)(4,0)1212
(0,4)(0,4)1616

The largest value is 1616, at (0,4)(0,4). The region is bounded, so this is the maximum.
