Six key pranayamas — Anuloma-Viloma, Kapalbhati, Bhastrika, Bhramari, Sheetali and Ujjayi — each with its own method and benefit.

Pranayama is the controlled regulation of the breath. The main types are:

  1. Anuloma-Viloma (Nadi Shodhana) — Method: alternate-nostril breathing; inhale through one nostril, exhale through the other, then reverse. Benefits: balances and purifies the breathing channels, calms the nervous system, improves concentration.
