The South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) was established in 1985 and is headquartered in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Member countries: SAARC has eight member states: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, and Afghanistan.
