Plant movements are broadly of two kinds: MOVEMENTS OF GROWTH proper (like tropisms, which are directional and driven by differential elongation) and MOVEMENTS OF CURVATURE (bending caused by unequal growth on opposite surfaces of the SAME organ, without necessarily being directional with respect to a stimulus).
