Just as zn=z⋅z⋯zz^n=z\cdot z\cdots z (nn times) for z∈R,n∈Nz\in R,n\in N, we now generalise linear functions to quadratic functions: P(x)=ax2+bx+cP(x)=ax^2+bx+c, where a,b,c∈Ra,b,c\in R are constants and a≠0a\ne0.
