Glomerulonephritis
Glomerulonephritis, also known as Bright's disease, is an inflammation of the glomeruli in both kidneys simultaneously. In children, it most commonly follows a streptococcal infection elsewhere in the body (such as the throat or skin), which triggers an immune reaction that damages the glomerular filtering membrane.
