Quorum is the minimum number of members required to be present for a company meeting to be valid and to transact business lawfully.

Quorum is the least number of members whose presence is legally necessary before a meeting can begin its proceedings. If the required quorum is not present, the meeting cannot validly transact any business and its decisions are void.

Under the Companies Act, 2013, for a general meeting:
