Q.Who are the members of National Commission ?

The National Commission is headed by a President who is or has been a Judge of the Supreme Court, along with several other qualified members including a woman member, all appointed by the Central Government. The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission is the highest of the three tiers of the consumer redressal system and hears the largest-value complaints and appeals from State Commissions. Its members are: - President: a person who is or has been a Judge of the Supreme Court of India, appointed by the Central Government in consultation with the Chief Justice of India. - Other members: several members (as prescribed) who are persons of ability, integrity and standing, having adequate knowledge or experience in fields such as economics, law, commerce, industry, public affairs or administration. - Woman member: at least one of the members must be a woman.
