An economic system is the arrangement by which a country decides what to produce, how to produce and for whom to produce.
1. Capitalist (Market) Economy
- Means of production are privately owned.

- There is freedom of enterprise, competition and consumer sovereignty, with minimal government interference. Examples: USA, UK.
2. Socialist (Command / Centrally Planned) Economy

- A central planning authority takes all major economic decisions to achieve social welfare and equality, not private profit.
