In a mixture of gases that don't chemically react, each gas contributes independently to the total pressure, and these contributions simply add up.

Dalton's law of partial pressures states: the total pressure exerted by a mixture of two or more non-reacting (non-interacting) gases occupying a given volume at a given temperature is equal to the sum of the partial pressures of each individual gas, where the partial pressure of a gas is the pressure it would exert if it alone occupied the entire volume at the same temperature.

Mathematically, for a mixture of gases 1, 2, 3, ...:
