Explanation

Hawkers and pedlars are a type of itinerant (mobile) retailer who do not have a fixed place of business. They move from one locality to another, and from street to street or house to house, carrying their goods with them on a handcart, bicycle, basket or on their head. They deal in small quantities of low-priced, daily-use consumer articles such as fruits, vegetables, toys, utensils and garments. They require very little capital, offer goods at the customer's doorstep, and allow bargaining, which makes shopping convenient for buyers.
