Gauss's Law for magnetism says the total magnetic flux out of any closed surface is zero, reflecting the fact that magnetic monopoles do not exist.

Statement: For any closed surface, the net magnetic flux through it is zero:

∮B⃗⋅dA⃗=0\oint \vec{B}\cdot d\vec{A} = 0

Physical meaning: Unlike electric field lines, which start and end on electric charges (so a closed surface enclosing a net charge has non-zero electric flux), magnetic field lines have no beginning or end — they always form continuous closed loops (e.g. from the N pole, around, back into the S pole, and through the magnet back to N). Consequently, for any closed (Gaussian) surface, every field line that enters the surface must also leave it, making the net outward flux exactly zero.
