Use Windows Device Manager (devmgmt.msc) to see every installed device driver; two typical finds are the display-adapter driver (e.g. Intel UHD Graphics) and the network-adapter driver (e.g. Realtek Ethernet) — the names on your own computer will differ.

The concept first. A device driver is a piece of system software that acts as translator between the operating system and one specific hardware device. The OS speaks in general commands ("print this", "draw this"); the driver converts them into the exact signals that particular printer or graphics chip understands. Every working device on your computer — display, network card, keyboard, sound chip — has a driver installed.

How to locate drivers on a Windows computer (do this with your teacher):

  1. Right-click the Start button → choose Device Manager. (Alternative: press Windows key + R, type devmgmt.msc, press Enter.)
  2. A tree of hardware categories appears: Display adapters, Network adapters, Sound controllers, Keyboards…
  3. Expand a category, right-click a device → Properties → Driver tab. There you can read the driver provider, driver date and driver version — proof of the installed driver.

A worked example of what you might record (clearly an example — the names on your machine will differ):
