Calls-in-Advance is shown under Current Liabilities in the Balance Sheet, not within Share Capital.

Sometimes a shareholder pays an amount towards a call before the company has actually made that call. Since this amount has NOT yet become part of the called-up (and hence paid-up) share capital — the company owes this shareholder either interest (if the Articles so provide) or an obligation to adjust it against a future call — it is treated as a liability of the company, not as capital received.
