Each charge is 11 m from the centre; V=4×kqr=3.6×106V = 4\times\dfrac{kq}{r} = 3.6\times10^{6} V.

Concept. Electric potential is a scalar, so the potential at the centre due to the four charges is simply the arithmetic sum of the individual potentials V=kq/rV=kq/r (no vector directions to worry about).

Geometry. For a square of side a=2a=\sqrt2 m, the diagonal is a2=2⋅2=2a\sqrt2 = \sqrt2\cdot\sqrt2 = 2 m. The centre is at the intersection of the diagonals, so its distance from each corner is half the diagonal:

r=22=1 mr = \frac{2}{2} = 1\ \text{m}
