Concept first: choice under scarcity
Since wants are unlimited but resources are limited, we cannot satisfy every want. We are therefore forced to decide which wants to satisfy — and the sensible way to decide is to assign priorities to our wants.
How I would choose
I would judge each want on a few simple tests and rank them accordingly:

- Urgency: Does it need to be satisfied now, or can it wait? Urgent wants get priority.
- Satisfaction / benefit: How much benefit does it give relative to its cost? Wants giving more satisfaction per rupee rank higher.
- Resources available: What I can afford with my limited money and time limits how many wants I can meet.
Having ranked wants this way, I satisfy the most important ones first, then move down the list as resources allow, and postpone or give up the least important wants.
