Circuit symbol convention:
- The Base (B) is drawn as a straight vertical line.
- The Collector (C) and Emitter (E) are drawn as slanted lines touching the base line.
- The Emitter always carries an arrowhead, showing the conventional direction of current flow.
p-n-p transistor: the arrow on the emitter points inward, towards the base (conventional current flows from the p-type emitter into the base).
