NAND is the inverse of AND (Y = complement of A.B); NOR is the inverse of OR (Y = complement of A+B). Truth tables are shown below.

NAND gate: A NAND gate is an AND gate followed by a NOT gate. Its output is HIGH (1) unless BOTH inputs are HIGH. Logic expression: Y = complement of (A AND B).
