Each linear equation of motion has a direct rotational analogue, obtained by replacing x→θx\to\theta, v→ωv\to\omega, a→αa\to\alpha.

Rotational motion (about a fixed axis, with constant angular acceleration α\alpha) follows the exact same mathematical form as linear motion, with the substitutions: displacement x→x \to angular displacement θ\theta, velocity v→v\to angular velocity ω\omega, acceleration a→a\to angular acceleration α\alpha.
