Significance of the Title

The title Discovering Tut: the Saga Continues works on two levels. First, 'Discovering Tut' recalls Howard Carter's original discovery of the tomb in 1922 — the event that made King Tut famous. Second, and more importantly, the phrase 'the Saga Continues' signals that the discovery did not end there.

A saga is a long, continuing story, usually of several generations or events. The word fits Tut perfectly: from Carter's excavation, to the 1968 X-ray, to the 2005 CT scan, each generation has used new tools to learn more about him.
