Lhamo

Lhamo is the author's hostess at Ravu, and though she appears only briefly she leaves a warm impression. She is kind, thoughtful and generous: learning that the author is heading for cold, high country to do the kora, she advises him to get warmer clothes and, on the morning of his departure, presents him with a long-sleeved sheepskin coat of the kind the local herdsmen wear.
