(a)(i) Human capital is intangible/inseparable (education, health); physical capital is tangible/saleable (machines). (a)(ii) LPG and Gobar Gas give clean rural energy, cutting deforestation, pollution and waste.

(b)(i) Micro-credit aids inclusion and women's empowerment but its tiny loans and high rates limit it as a poverty cure. (b)(ii) Sustainable development meets present needs without harming future generations' ability to meet theirs.

  • LPG: promoted through schemes like Ujjwala Yojana to replace firewood/dung cakes. Benefits: reduced deforestation, far less indoor air pollution (better health for women and children), and time saved from fuel collection that can go to work or study.
  • Gobar Gas (biogas): anaerobic digestion of dung/organic waste yields clean cooking gas plus nutrient-rich slurry. Benefits: a renewable local fuel; effective organic-waste management; capture of methane (a potent greenhouse gas); and organic manure that improves soil and cuts chemical-fertiliser use. …
