NIESBUD — National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (Noida). An apex national body of the Government of India whose role is chiefly coordination and standard-setting: it designs model syllabi and training material for entrepreneurship programmes, conducts training of trainers so that others can run EDPs across the country, organises programmes for entrepreneurs, evaluates EDPs, and carries out research and documentation in entrepreneurship and small business.

EDII — Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (Ahmedabad). An autonomous, national-level institute sponsored by leading public financial institutions and supported by the Government of India, and a pioneer in entrepreneurship education and research. It designs and conducts EDPs and trainers' training programmes, develops teaching material and tools for identifying and developing entrepreneurial competencies, offers post-graduate education in entrepreneurship, and undertakes research and consultancy, including special programmes for women and disadvantaged groups.
