Step 1 — Union. Combine every letter from AA or BB, counting shared letters once: A∪B={a,b,c,d,e,i,o,u}A \cup B = \{a,b,c,d,e,i,o,u\} — 8 letters.

Step 2 — Intersection. Letters in both lists: aa and ee appear in both AA and BB. So A∩B={a,e}A \cap B = \{a,e\}.
