  1. Selling price. Apply the discounts one after the other:

    S.P.=25000×(1−10100)×(1−5100)=25000×0.90×0.95.\text{S.P.}=25000\times\Big(1-\tfrac{10}{100}\Big)\times\Big(1-\tfrac{5}{100}\Big)=25000\times 0.90\times 0.95.

    Now 25000×0.90=2250025000\times0.90=22500 and 22500×0.95=2137522500\times0.95=21375, so the selling price is ₹21,375.
  2. Single equivalent discount. D=d1+d2−d1d2100=10+5−10×5100=15−0.5=14.5%.D=d_1+d_2-\frac{d_1 d_2}{100}=10+5-\frac{10\times 5}{100}=15-0.5=14.5\%. …
