Binary-to-hexadecimal is grouping in FOURS from the right (16 = 2^4), padding the left with zeros; each 4-bit group becomes one hex digit (1010 = A, 1100 = C).

Why grouping works. One hexadecimal digit encodes exactly 4 bits, so the bit string only needs regrouping — no arithmetic.

Working for (0110101100)2:

Ten bits -> pad to twelve: 0001 1010 1100
Convert each group       :   1    A    C
=> (0110101100)2 = (1AC)16

(1010 = 10 = A and 1100 = 12 = C.)

Verification — both equal the same decimal value:

(0110101100)2 = 256 + 128 + 32 + 8 + 4  = 428 …
